About

Thanks for visiting!

My name is Jasmin. I am 20 years old and currently a student studying Medical Office Administration. I'm very artsy and crafty and I love to travel.

I've recently decided to transition to natural hair. I have been getting relaxers ever since I can remember! I don't even know what my natural hair looks like! I just decided that I'm done thinning my hair out with all of the chemicals in relaxers and I'm ready to move on to bigger and better things. Time to go natural!

I don't have a big support system and in fact, people are telling me not to go natural! I've come to the realization that we live in a society where natural hair is not widely accepted. Although my support system is very small as of right now, I have been introduced to websites like curlynikki.com and naturallycurly.com by my beautiful and supportive aunt Kerri. She is the real reason I'm making this big change. She is one of the bravest woman I know and the first, but not the last, to go natural in my family. Thanks auntie Kerri!

The reason I started this blog is because I feel like natural hair really is beautiful. There are way too many ethnic woman that try to cover up their beautiful curls because of the views society imposes on woman. It is not proven that straight hair is any more beautiful than curly hair. It's also not proven that black woman cannot retain just as much length as a white woman, indian woman, or any other race for that matter.

This is simply a way for me to track my progress on my journey to growing my natural hair! It's also a way for me to learn more about what works for my hair, track new regimens, and inform other transitioners what is working for me. It is definitely a learning process for both me and hopefully my visitors!

I will also be posting product reviews as well as beauty tips, fashion tips, playlists, and much more. Stay tuned!
This blog is open to woman of all races and backgrounds!
Thanks for your support!

Love & Peace,
